Knucklebone Oscar
Knucklebone Oscar, Finland’s gift to rock ‘n’ roll madness, reaches the veteran age of 18. The band salutes this by releasing a new album and going on tour.
Knucklebone Oscar’s new album ‘Welcome to Trash Vegas’ is released 3.12.2010. The Helsinki based rock ‘n’ roll quartet continues it’s ADHD-blues styling in the spirit of a corrupt preacher man meets Little Richard on speed. The new album’s duration with 11 songs is way under half an hour as all futile bullshit has been cut off. The record is released by ‘Rookie Records’, Köln based label specialized in rock ‘n’ roll and punk.
In spring 2010 the band went through a change of line-up. Long time guitar player Tommi ‘big cahones’ Ollikainen resigned after being exhausted by Wildman Oscar’s hectic pace and style. Jarkko ‘Big Mac’ Viinamäki, 110 kg of meat from Lapland joined the forces. Young, fresh and ready for action!
Knucklebone Oscar’s previous album ‘Back from the Jungle’ was released in 2007. Although Knucklebone Oscar has been active and touring in Finland for many years, ‘Back from the Jungle’ was their debut Album in Central Europe. Their over-the-top wild live performances along the new record have stirred praising reactions and good critique all over Europe.
In august 2010 the juvenile rockers toured China for 12 gigs. This Included traveling all over the country and stumbling as Finland’s representatives in the Shanghai World Fair. A tv-documentary of the tour is being made after a film crew captured all the ups and downs with their cameras. The movie is due out in autumn 2011.
Knucklebone Oscar’s rock ‘n’ roll caravan will tour Finland in dec 2010 & jan/feb 2011 and Cental Europe & spain in march 2011.
