The Mortars

„We are the Mortars and we do primitive rock ´n´ roll!“ so beginnen die zwei jungen Musiker aus dem Westen Österreichs (laut eigenen Angaben aus „Trashville“) ihre Show!

Den Kontrabss schlägt Frantic “the Bassmonster” und für den Rest sorgt Crazed an Gitarre, Schlagzeug und Gesang. Ja, richitg, es handelt sich hierbei um kein herkömmliches Line-up. The Mortars sind eine Two-Man-Band! Ihre Musik bezeichnen sie selbst als Facefuck Blues oder einfach Primitive Rock’n’Roll. Mit außergewöhnlicher Energie, viel Mut zu Innovation und einer dicken Portion Rock ´n´ Roll begeistern The Mortars die Szene. Ihre Songs handeln unter anderem von Themen wie Sex, Alkohol, Drogen, Frauen, Rock ´n´ Roll, Zerstörung und „Facefucking“, welche sie in eine eigene Mixtur aus Rock ´n´ Roll, Trash, Psychobilly, Surf, Country und Punkrock einbetten.

Alles in allem kann man sagen: „Mortars here, Mortars there, Mortars every fucking where! Mortars block, Mortars shock! Mortars all around the clock! Mortars Rock, Mortars Roll! Mortars satisfy my soul! Mortars stomp, they don’t stroll! MORTARS PRIMITIVE ROCK N ROLL!“
